Terms of Service

Effective October 6, 2026

About the service

Watchtower is operated by Connor Lagana. These terms apply to watchtower.lat, its API, MCP service, and Watchtower plugin. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Watchtower helps users search supported public job boards, create watches, and retrieve detected changes. Coverage depends on the boards monitored and information provided by those boards. Watchtower does not submit job applications or represent employers.

Use and credentials

Use Watchtower lawfully and respect the rights of others. Do not use it to bypass access controls, CAPTCHAs, paywalls, or published access restrictions; interfere with the service; evade limits; or submit information you are not authorized to provide.

Keep your client token private. A person or application with the token can access and manage its associated watches. Only configure webhook destinations that you control or are authorized to use. Avoid putting personal or confidential information in queries, labels, or URLs.

Job information and notifications

Job information comes from third-party sources and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated. Confirm openings, salary, requirements, and application instructions directly with the employer. A salary match is not a guaranteed offer. Watchtower does not guarantee that every relevant job or change will be detected, or that a notice will arrive by a particular time.

Creating a watch does not itself enable messages in ChatGPT or another client. Notification delivery requires a compatible client, schedule, or configured webhook.

Availability and service limits

Watchtower is currently offered without payment. Published rate limits, watch limits, retention periods, and inactivity-expiration rules apply. You can stop a watch using the service's deletion function. We may restrict abusive use or suspend features for maintenance, security, or operational reasons. The service may change or be discontinued.

Privacy and third-party services

The Watchtower privacy policy describes its data practices. Third-party job boards, AI clients, and webhook providers have their own terms and privacy practices. Third-party job content remains subject to the rights of its owners.

Disclaimer and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Watchtower is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted operation. You remain responsible for evaluating job information and decisions you make using it. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

Changes and contact

Updates to these terms will be posted with their effective date and apply prospectively. For questions or support, use Watchtower's issue tracker. Do not post tokens or private information in a public issue.
